After we got home from Bangkok, we went into hyperdrive trying to get the house ready for the arrival of the most anticipated visitor of the year . . .
One of our favorite families came over to welcome Sarah and my mom. We can't wait to return the visit. After four months, we'll see who their new addition will be! Don't say it aloud, but she is pregnant.
This is a friend of mine who sells vegetables near my house. When we first arrived, I visited her frequently to practice my language. She and another friend came bringing all sorts of gifts for Sarah.
Sarah has been properly welcomed home and loved on by countless people around our town. She's also been stared at a lot, had her picture made several times, and her presence generally generates lots of conversation.

My mother came for a THREE WEEK visit. To be honest, I was REALLY nervous. We had only been home a total of two weeks when she arrived - with an 8 week old baby, and the culture we live in is SO different from the States. I was so proud of my sweet mom. She tried new foods, new words and DID NOT COMPLAIN ONE TIME about being hot. We had such a fun time together. We didn't really do anything special, other than introduce her to all our friends, favorite foods and favorite places around our home.
