Seriously. . . It's been a year

Here we are at day 10 or so

Sometimes I think about the past year and think it was the longest 365 days of my life. Other times, it seems like just yesterday, we were getting off the plane. Wow. It's the truth though - we've been in this country, living within this culture for 368 days (give or take a few hours)!

Here's a quick rundown of things we've experienced this year:

Number of airplanes traveled on - 21
Number of buses traveled - 1
Number of rickshaws - hundreds
Countries visited - 3
Wild Elephant Sightings - 1
Wild Monkey Sightings - hundreds
ER visits - 2
Hospital Stays - 1
Language blunders - don't know a number that high; millions
Language teachers/helpers employed - 5
Highest temperature recorded inside our house - 95
Lowest temperature recorded inside our house - 55
Trips to office to secure our visa - 10
Pounds lost due to 'Delhi Belly' - 15
Trips to fast food restaurants - 2 (By the way, McDonald's fries ROCK IT all over the world)
Times chocolate was needed as a coping strategy - 162
Times Coca Cola was needed as a coping strategy - what's 365-162?

Here we are at day 335 or so.

It's shocking that we are moving into the second year of this adventure, but here we are. Wow. I hope we have lots more wonderful adventures to come.
