Monsoon = steamy, hot days!

The humid, scorching days of monsoon have arrived. It's nicer than the hot season because at least the rain gives you some respite from the intense heat. But when it rains in the morning and the sun comes up following that, you can hardly breathe from the humidity. There are people around here that have it much, much worse. We don't live in an extremely hot part of the country, but it's hot enough to drive us inside during the hottest parts of the day. Here's what we've been doing lately to pass the time.
A little DS action!
The male people's new favorite passtime. The Game of Life. Seriously. Jonathan was so excited to find this in a store. His all time favorite game as a kid. Did you know there is a new, updated version - yeah, no more fire/life insurance. Instead you make long term investments. AND you can't go around and around until you get the job you want Joanna Gunter! You also have to buy a 'starter home'- the choices are hilarious. Thankfully, they only make me play every third game or so. I'm not much of a board game fan!

More in the rain monsoon fun. Lego planes crash really nicely in bad monsoon storms! Just notice that after the second or third day of 'real' monsoon rains (all day), the raincoats were ditched. Now we just stay in one set of wet clothes until we are completely finished playing in the rain and then hang those clothes up hoping they'll be dry within a couple of days (I told you the humidity was bad).

You guys are great, we love the monsoon pictures. Sorry the humidity is so bad, ours is at least a (mostly) dry heat. Love you guys.

Hey....why can't you drive around and around? That seems like a pretty fair rule to me!

My boys like that game, too! I'm so glad y'all found it!
We love y'all and pray daily!
