We had several simultaneous adventures for week #2. Jon Thomas went to day camp, Charlie went to Build-a-Bear and the parental units basked in being at Aunt Anna's house. For those of you who don't know, Aunt Anna's house sports many awesome things INCLUDING Aunt Anna #1 fun aunt and 'old enough to babysit' cousin Mary Anna. NNNNIIIIIICCCE!
We had a really fun week but didn't accomplish very much. Jon Thomas LOVED camp. It was day camp at Twin Lakes in Florence, MS. We dropped him off at 7:30 a.m. and picked him up at 5:00 p.m. every day except Thursday when he got to spend the night. It was a great experience for both child and parents. It's a little heart wrenching to send your 6-year-old off to spend the night with, what boils down to, strangers! I woke up several times during the night wondering if he was okay, but he made it through the night and couldn't stop talking about it when we picked him up. I took that as a good sign. It's also been very funny to re-live my own camp days through the songs he picked up during the week. Does anyone remember the old camp favorite, 'Baby Shark, do do doot, doot ta do'? It's a fantastic one and very catchy. I've been singing it for ALMOST 48 hours now!
Here's a pre-camp photo and the post-camp photo. He's a little sunburned in the latter because he totally forgot about sunscreen on Friday morning. Oopsy.

Okay, Okay, you can't see the sunburn in that photo. BECAUSE my darling husband just came in and warned me against posting a photo of JT with 'Marshall the Counselor' because we don't have 'Marshall the Counselor's' permission. Just take my word for it, he was sunburned.
Another post-camp photo - my favorite photo from the week.
