EVACUATION!

I'm writing this as we prepare for our first hurricane evacuation! We are moving furniture, packing and getting everything off the floor. I'm really getting good at this nomadic living! We are headed out to the safety of Mississippi this afternoon after Jonathan's class. If all is well, the school will reopen next Thursday!

Please remember the city of New Orleans as we go through the weekend. From what we can see, hear and feel, the city is really in the grip of SO MUCH tension and outright fear. The preparation for the storm seems to be going smoothly, but people are still afraid.
